The Stages Power meter firmware is easily upgraded using the Stages Cycling app. The Stages Cycling app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices.
Both applications connect to the power meter via Bluetooth LE. The app utilizes your data or Wi-Fi signal to check for firmware updates. If an update is found, it will notify you to update. Installation time will vary depending on bandwidth but normally takes just a few minutes to complete. No need to remove the battery, do a zero reset, or do anything else. Just update the firmware and you're ready to ride.
