Overview
Step by step guide to replacing the USB PCBA. Estimated time – 5 minutes
Tools required
- 3 mm hex key
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Pliers
Replacement parts required
- 000-7942 USB PCBA
Replacement instructions
Unplug bike
Make sure the bike is unplugged at the lower stabilizer, not just from the wall.
Warning: Make sure the StagesBike is unplugged before doing this step
Remove phone shelf cover from handlebar extrusion.
Using a 3 mm hex key, remove the 3 M5 button head screws from the back of the phone shelf cover.
Remove USB PCBA.
Un-route micro USB pigtail from retainer.
Remove PCBA.
Unplug connector.
Install new USB PCBA.
Plug in new USB PCBA.
Place USB PCBA in slots located in the base.
Route micro USB pigtail (using a flat head screwdriver or similar tool) into retainer on base.
Check USB port locations to make sure they are aligned with openings.
Replace Phone Shelf cover.
Install shelf cover aligning slot with PCB Board.
Reinstall the 3 screws on the underside of the cover using a 3 mm hex key.
Plug in bike
Once all the steps are complete and the rework is done, the bike can be plugged back in and used again.
