A step-by-step guide to replacing the infinite adjust lock assembly on a Stages SB20 smart bike.

• Estimated time required: 5-10 minutes

Tools Required 

• 2.5 mm hex key
• 3 mm hex key 
• Crescent wrench 

Replacement Parts 

• ASSY, LOCK, INFINITE ADJUST (000-8090)

Replacement Instructions

1. Adjust the handlebar or seat stem to its lowest position and fully loosen the knob.
2. Use a size 2.5mm (or smaller) hex key to push the knob cap out through the small holes on the rear of the knob and remove the cap.
   
   
3. Using a 3mm hex key, remove the screw from the center of the knob, then remove the knob.
   
   
   
   
4. Use a crescent wrench to break free the larger nut of the infinite adjust assembly, then continue to loosen the nut with your fingers until you can remove the assembly from the frame.
   
   
   
   
5. Install the new infinite adjust assembly by completing step 4 in reverse order. Firmly tighten the large nut with a crescent wrench.
6. To install the new knob, line up the flat edges of the inner knob with the flat edges of the protrusion.
   
   
   
7. Reinstall the screw using a size 3mm hex key.
   
8. Press the knob cap back into place to complete the repair.
   
9.  Check the functionality of the new infinite adjust lock before use.
